Haus Mirabelle is a tranquil chalet set high on a mountain in the Austrian village of Bad Goisern. Bad Goisern is part of the Salzkammergut resort area, surrounded by lakes such as the Hallstätter and Wolfgang See and the Dachstein mountains.

Haus Mirabelle is an ideal base for a skiing holiday at the resorts of Dachstein West and Krippenstein, which are 20 minutes drive away. Dachstein West offers over 100 km of interconnected pistes and is family orientated, whereas Krippenstein is for all adrenaline junkies with the Free Ride Arena voted by Planet Snow as number 1 in Europe! There is also cross-country skiing and sledging in the village.

In the Summer, you can explore the famous Austria lake district as it is close to Lakes Hallstatt and Wolfgang. The village is popular with mountain-bikers, hikers, fishing enthusiasts and climbers, with a climbing wall behind the house. The Salzburg Music Festival every Summer and museums and shops of Salzburg are only 1 hour's drive away.

The village of Bad Goisern is located in a valley which is ca.10 minutes drive from the next town of Bad Ischl. A 2 minute drive down the mountain from the property, you will reach the facilities which Bad Goisern has to offer: cafes, supermarkets, a couple restaurants, ski shops, Churches and a water slide park in the summer.

Bad Goisern is a few minutes drive from the Unesco World Heritage Site of the Halstatt-Dachstein Cultural Landscape, Bad Ischl - the famous spa town beloved by the Kaiser. Bad Goisern is approximately one hour drive from Salzburg airport and 2 hours drive from Munich. The large ski resort of Gosau/Dachstein West is ca. 20 minutes drive away.

Bad Goisern is accessible by cheap and reliable public transport (airport bus from Salzburg airport and by 4 hour train ride from Vienna).

For those who are fit, the property is a 10-15 uphill walk from the village, otherwise a rental car is advisable.
