The Autumn season is amongst the most spectacular in the Salzkammergut region. Last year, we had temperatures in the 30s until the beginning of October! Many of the tourist 'hot spots' are less crowded and it is an insider 'secret' that this time of the year can be amongst the best months to visit.
There are the new wines to sample and the fruits of the harvest are celebrated in the local cuisine. Many people enjoy coming to the area for the perfect walking conditions at this time of year. There are many beautiful walks near Haus Mirabelle and the surrounding villages such as Gosau, Bad Ischl and Hallstatt, with mountain huts or 'refuges' serving local food. Due to the slightly cooler average temperatures in the Autumn, many biking enthusiasts choose to visit Bad Goisern in the Autumn for mountain biking.
